I can help you to overcome your Irritable Bowel Syndrome and I.B.S. related symptoms effectively and permanently by using the Thrive Programme.
Irritable bowel syndrome or I.B.S. is the most common digestive system issue, around one in six people in the UK experiencing it’s occasional symptoms. These are a mixture of abdominal symptoms, diarrhoea, bloating, constipation, abdominal pain, bloated abdomen, excess wind, feelings of sickness and indigestion.
Although it is a digestive system problem it can affect the gut anywhere from the mouth to the anus. Also, due to the variety of its symptoms, makes it very similar to other intestinal disorders. Despite the uncomfortable symptoms, there is rarely ever any signs (on investigation) of any actual gut abnormalities – this is probably the most baffling and scary thing about I.B.S.
Even though doctors don’t know what exactly causes I.B.S. one thing is known for definite – psychological and emotional factors play a key role. Have you never made the connection between the severity of your symptoms and periods of stress, anxiety or when you felt under pressure?
(Please note, no one is to blame for this, nor am I insinuating that’s this is all in your head.)
The fact that there is a definite psychological and emotional factor to I.B.S. would explain why;
Around 20% of the worlds population experience the symptoms of I.B.S.
Some have mild symptoms whilst others have severe symptoms.
Symptoms can and do improve, get worse and even disappear.
No one single treatment works for everyone with I.B.S. (until now).
The symptoms of I.B.S. differ from person to person.
Symptoms of I.B.S. can exists despite tests proving that there are no gut abnormalities.
Conventional treatments can only ever try to control or cope with your symptoms.
Sufferers often become dissatisfied with the conventional treatments offered.
Most patients end up seeking to help of alternative approaches.
The experts are now realising that in order to treat I.B.S. effectively they must have a better understanding of the connection between the gut (the body) and the mind…this is precisely why I know that I can help you!
After a successful course of treatment with me your symptoms, not matter how severe, your I.B.S. will either be under your control, or clear up completely. Allowing you the freedom to live your life to fullest.
So, if you have become disillusioned with everything that you have tried so far…give me a call and I will book you in for a FREE consultation. In which I will answer all of your questions, and more importantly explain to you exactly how you can help you!
This is J’s testimonial on how I helped him to overcome his I.B.S.
‘I came to see Stephen about the IBS I’ve been suffering from for 8 years. I had read about hypnotherapy on the web and so approached Stephen expecting to undergo a course of hypnotherapy, somewhat in line with my idea of hypnosis gleaned from the TV and movies. In the initial consultation Stephen asked me about my problems – and concluded I would be better off with the Thrive programme. In all honestly this wasn’t what I expected, but Stephen calmed my fears by discussing some of the success he had had treating other people.
What I discovered with the Thrive programme is that, while I have issues with IBS, what I was really suffering from was something more fundamental: a lack of the ability to thrive, to face adversity and overcome it. Each week, as Stephen led me through the Thrive programme, I began to see how I was previously subjecting myself to limiting beliefs, unhelpful thoughts and generally making myself miserable. I soon came to appreciate that my IBS was like a warning siren, telling me when I was getting myself caught up in bad thought cycles, and letting myself succumb to things like stress, anxiety and lack of self-confidence.
The Thrive programme is not like anything I’ve ever done before – and Stephen’s tutelage gave me the confidence to embrace the programme and take full advantage of it. Thrive is not “happy clappy” positive thinking – if anything, it trains people to think usefully, to accept the good and bad things that life throws at everyone.
Since taking part in the thrive programme the biggest change to my life has not been the IBS (although that has definitely improved in conjunction with me adjusting my attitude towards it). In nearly all everyday situations I find myself challenging myself about why I do or don’t do certain things. I feel I am in control of my life – and, while bad stuff still happens, I have found that the more I practice “thriving” the less time I get caught in unhelpful loops of negative thinking and feel energized to do something about it!
I can’t speak highly enough of Stephen. His approach to the Thrive programme was invaluable to me – he helped me analyse my thought patterns (letting go of my beliefs about my everyday life became fun activity!) and how different thoughts or perceptions interact with each other and, most importantly, he encouraged me to face up to the reality of my situation.
In following the Thrive programme with Stephen I have made real, positive changes to my life – it became easy to do the things I was umming and ahhing about for so many years. If it were possible to go back in time, I wish I could have done the Thrive programme years ago – but I’m ok with having done it now! I have recommended Thrive to others, but have specifically told them they have to see Stephen – I can’t imagine anyone could do a better job guiding someone through their Thrive journey than him.’
